Article II of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) Bylaws, Principles, and Purposes is the foundation for all the work of our UUA and its member congregations and covenanted communities. It is the covenant to which Unitarian Universalist congregations and covenanted communities pledge themselves when they become members of our UUA.
A proposed revision to Article II was passed for more study with amendments at the UUA General Assembly in June 2023. At General Assembly 2024, which will be all online June 20-23, delegates from UU congregations will vote on the Proposed Article II. A two-thirds super-majority vote will be required to pass the Proposed Article II.
